With a rich culinary programme full of Cretan delicacies and spirits, the Region of Crete participates in the 7th EXPOTROF – The Greek Fine Food Exhibition as its Region of honour.
7th EXPOTROF – The Greek Fine Food Exhibition honoring the homeland of the famous Cretan diet, has organized a plethora of cooking events through which the producers of the island will have the opportunity to feature the high quality products of their homeland and introduce them to both the greek and international markets. The fans of Crete will have the chance to enjoy authentic high quality products, traditional recipes of the Cretan cuisine as well as many culinary surprises.
In their own exhibition stand, the Administrative Region of Crete present the island’s premium products such as olive oil, raisins, olives, rusks, baked goods, wines, herbs, honey, cheese and dairy, carob products etc.
The aim of the Region is to feature and strengthen the agricultural and food sectors and to create opportunities for the island’s small and medium-sized enterprises to promote their products.
From 24 to 26 January 2020, businesses from the four prefectures of the island will be in the HELEXPO exhibition centre in Maroussi, Athens, aiming to promote Cretan products, renowned for their quality and high nutritional value.
At the stands of the Cretan producers, visitors will have the opportunity to taste and purchase among a large variety of products, while the producers will be able to strike business deals with the food and beverage sector professionals from the Greek and iternational markets.
At the same time, the kitchen of “Cooking Greece” will be “flooded” with the tastes and aromas of Cretan gastronomy as well-known Cretan chefs will share with us the secrets of Mediterranean cuisine.
